Supporting the NEC Nightingale Hospital with Medical Quality Air
Compressed air is a clean and reliable source of power sometimes referred to as the ‘fourth utility’, a term which underlines its importance to the overall performance and success of numerous processes. Whilst compressed air is essential to a wide range of industries there are some highly specialised applications where it is a particularly critical resource, such as medical gas system. These specialist medical applications include driving ventilators, producing assisted air for breathing and operating pneumatic surgical tools.
Air Methods were asked to deliver a medical compressed air station for the NEC Nightingale Hospital within a very short lead time. The requirement was for 4 high efficiency, sound proof rotary screw compressors. HPC were able to deliver four ASD 60 with SIGMA control the next day with the installation having been completed within a week.
